Nelson Ariza Paulino Obituary

Nelson Antonio Ariza Paulino died peacefully surrounded by family on the morning of April 1st, 2023. 

Nelson was born in Barranquilla, Colombia on November 25th, 1961 to Martin Antonio Ariza De la Rosa and Maria Concepcion Paulino Arzusa. He was the youngest amongst 9 siblings. He attended church since an early age, which cemented his faith in God and his life passion for reading scriptures. 

On a bus in Barranquilla, Nelson met Emilia Araujo Lara. Since then, she become his wife until the day of his passing. They had a total of four children; Kissy Katherine Ariza Araujo, Nelson Andres Ariza Araujo Jr., and Maria Elena Zambrano were born in Colombia and Mila Patricia Ariza, the youngest one, was born in NYC after the family migrated to the United States. 

Through hard work, and perseverance he was able to provide for his family. He gave his family a good upbringing, he provided a loving home and a loving environment. With his friendly disposition, love of life, and willingness to help, Nelson Ariza touched the life of many people. He was a wonderful, God fearing, hard-working and family-oriented man. He is loved and treasured and will be missed by many. 

Nelson was preceded in death by his parents and both of his older brothers, Jose Antonio Ariza Paulino and Alfonso Ariza Paulino. 

He is survived by his wife, his children, his son-in-law Oscar Zambrano and two grandchildren Delilah and Alfonso Zambrano. He is also survived by his sisters Gladys Vallecilla and Edilsa Ariza and his older brothers; Hernando, Alfredo, Jairo, and Wilson Ariza.

Nelson Antonio Ariza Paulino falleció en paz rodeado de su familia en la mañana de Abril 1ro del 2023. 

Nelson nació en Barranquilla, Colombia el 25 de Noviembre de 1961. Hijo de Martín Antonio Ariza De la Rosa y María Concepción Paulino Arzusa. Era el menor de 9 hermanos. Asistió a la iglesia desde una temprana edad, lo que cimentó su fe en Dios y la pasión de su vida por leer las escrituras. 

En un bus en Barranquilla, Nelson conoció a Emilia Araujo Lara. La quien se convirtió en su esposa hasta el día de su fallecimiento. Tuvieron un total de cuatro hijos; Kissy Katherine Ariza Araujo, Nelson Andres Ariza Araujo Jr. y Maria Elena Zambrano que nacieron en Colombia y Mila Patricia Ariza, la menor de los cuatro que nació en Nueva York después que la familia emigro a los Estados Unidos. 

Después de trabajar fuertemente y perseverar, pudo mantener a su familia para que tuvieran una buena crianza y un hogar y un ambiente amoroso. Con su personalidad amistosa, amor a la vida y siempre teniendo una disponibilidad para ayudar, Nelson Ariza tocó la vida de muchas personas. Era un hombre maravilloso, temeroso de Dios, trabajador y hombre de familia. Es amado y atesorado por muchos y será muy extrañado. 

A Nelson le precedieron en la muerte sus padres y sus dos hermanos mayores, José Antonio Ariza Paulino y Alfonso Ariza Paulino. 

Le sobreviven su esposa, sus cuatro hijos, su yerno Oscar Zambrano y sus dos nietos Delilah y Alfonso Zambrano. Lo sobreviven también sus hermanas Gladys Vallecilla y Edilsa Ariza y sus hermanos mayores, Hernando, Alfredo, Jairo y Wilson Ariza.
