Jason Chase Obituary

Jason Leslie Chase was born on July 17th, 1964 in Women’s Hospital in New York City. He was born to his mother Annette Chase and his father William Leslie Chase.

In school Jason was a very fast learner and made many friends. After high school, he received various certifications such as plumbing and HVAC. He worked various jobs but his favorite was as a Security Field Supervisor for the World Trade Center. Jason had many hobbies. He enjoyed watching television and sports, listening to music, doing his laundry, sewing and being crafty. He loved driving and reminiscing about the good old days in the Battle Ground Park, Sugar Hill rooftop parties and playing handball. Jason was a very charismatic ladies’ man and always left a memorable impression on all he encountered. He was always proud to represent his neighborhood and where he came from.

Jason only had one child, a daughter named Desirée Chase. When she was a child he taught her how to tie her shoes, ride bicycles, swing in the park, play basketball and play handball. Later on in his life Jason moved to Anderson, South Carolina for a while. While there he developed relationships, found a deeper spiritual connection with Christ and a dog he named Sporty. Wherever Jason went he was always his authentic self and expressed his feelings in that moment.

Jason had several health issues and medical emergencies, which God carried him through. On Wednesday January 2nd, 2019 God finally called him home. Jason succumbed to his battle with an extended illness and passed away at home. Jason is preceded in death by his father, William Leslie Chase, his sister, Sabrina Ann Chase and his uncles, Carlton and Ronald. He leaves behind his mother, Annette Chase, his daughter, Desirée Chase, his brother, Tahir Leslie Chase, cousins, other relatives, many friends and the lives of all those he touched. He will be missed and remembered.
