Frank George Holmes was born on September 10, 1951 to the Late Frank George Williams and Lucille Holmes Williams in Brooklyn, New York. Frank was the 8th of 11 siblings. Frank was lovingly known by his family as Junior.
Frank departed this life on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Brookdale University Hospital in Brooklyn, New York.
Frank attended Westinghouse High School in Brooklyn, New York.
Frank was a longtime employee of The Knitting Factory in Long Island City. He maintained employment there from his late teens until his retirement in 2008.
Frank was a highly family-oriented man. He took pride in caring for his younger brother Leroy. Frank had a passion for cooking and spending time with his neighborhood friends. Frank was highly opinionated about living life and the individuals he came in contact. Frank had witty and snooty ways which sometimes left a lasting impact on everyone he encountered. Despite his ways, Frank was loved by his entire family and friends.
Frank was certainly a family staple and he will be truly missed by his family, friends and community.
Frank is survived by his sisters, Sylvia, lovingly known as “SISTER”, Dolores and Patricia; his brothers, Leroy and Eugene and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Once again, Frank valued all his brothers, sisters and entire family. He had a life well lived in his own way and we will miss him dearly.
