Aretha Tindley Obituary

Aretha Lynn Tindley was born on December 17 1960 to George Tindley (Bassett) Tindley and Artilda Watson-Tindley in New York, New York. 

She was a Home Health Aide.  She lived her life in Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx.  She enjoyed and loved life. There is nothing she loved more than the love of her children and the gathering of family. She also enjoyed cooking a big feast for family gatherings - bringing everyone together.  She loved her grandchildren with all her heart. She will truly be missed, may she Rest In Peace. 

She was preceded in death by George Tindley (Bassett) father, Artilda Watson-Tindley (mother). Brothers: Dubois Tindley, Charles Tindley, and George Tindley.  Sisters: Gourdine Thomas and Alicia Parks. 

Aretha is survived by her children Evelon Thomas (NY), Marsha Thomas (NY), and Donell Thomas (NY). Sisters: Brenda Palmer ( MN), Stephanie Watson (NY),  Ethelda Tindley (NY), Rosalie Fisher (MD) and Betty Fisher (MD). Brother-in-laws: Thomas Burton (NY) and Gerald Thomas (NY). Grandkids: Justin, Sahara, Brianna Mekyi and Avante and her great-grandson Nathaniel. Aretha will be truly missed by all her nieces and nephews including a host of friends from New York.
